Yarmouth Boys’ Home Opening did not occur until January 2020, which is unusual. After a number of preseason away games, 3 regular season games on the road, and a holiday tournament, the Clippers returned to Travis Roy Arena for their home opener versus the Kennebunk Rams/Wells on January 2nd.
Matt Robichaud No. 12, celebrated his birthday in style by opening the scoring in the first period with a regular strength goal, assisted from Truman Peters and Ben Moll. Matt continued his strong play with a power play goal during the 2nd period with assists from Isaac Grondin and Oliver Prinn.
The Clippers played strong defense allowing just 12 shots on goal to support Charles Henry Watson for his second shutout of the season.
Final Score 2-0 Yarmouth Clippers over the Kennebunk/Wells Rams. Shots on goal were 26 to 12.
Yarmouth next game is on January 4th , Saturday night, against Class A Falmouth Yachtsmen.
