Despite outshooting York 30-20, the Lady Clippers could not find the back of the net. This was a fairly even game playing back and forth. York went up 1-0 early. Then, midway through the first, the Clippers answer – Emma Moll spins off a defender in the corner and feeds Sophie Newberg at the point for a quick release shot on the ice far corner.
York answered a few minutes later. Down 2-1, going into the 2nd, the Lady Clippers kept working hard finding opportunities but just couldn’t capitalize. York sneaks one in late in period. Down 3-1 after 2.

Third period was scoreless until :43 left when York put one in the open net. Third period shots favored the Clippers 10/5.

“ it’s been a tough 1st half, we have outshot most teams every night but can’t seem to find the back of the net. All we can do as coaches is keep the girls confident and motivated to keep pushing …the goals will come…we sit at 2-7 but heal points are helping us stay in the middle of the pack for now…We really need to take 2 of the next three to clinch a playoff spot. “ -Coach Dave
