The Clippers’ offensive woes continued in a 2-0 shutout loss to St. Dom’s. In the past four games, Yarmouth has only mustered five goals and the loss drops Yarmouth to a record of 5-4-1 as they head into the homestretch of their season.
St. Dom’s took the lead in the first period after an apparent Yarmouth power play goal was waived off for a crease violation. The second period was scoreless and the Clippers’ play was marked by a lack of urgency and an inability to get pucks and bodies to the St. Dom’s net.

In the third period, St. Dom’s sealed Yarmouth’s fate with a power play goal for the final 2-0 shutout win. Dan Latham stopped 28 of the 30 shots he faced for a very respectable .933 save percentage.

Yarmouth will travel to Bowdoin College to face Brunswick in a rare after-school game on Friday. Game time is 3:00 pm. On Saturday night at 7:10 pm, the Clippers will face first-place Cape Elizabeth at home.
