Yarmouth Gets Back to .500

The Clippers rolled over Maranacook/Winthrop 7-1 to even their season record at 2-2-0.  In the first period, Justin Veilleux ’20 picked up his first Varsity goal with assists from Avery Sevee ’18 and Matt Sanborn ’19. Cooper May ’18 (unassisted), Joe Truesdale ’18 (Heywood, Marjerison) and John Decker ’18 added additional goals.

Late in the first period Youssef Ayad ’18 and Justin Veilleux assisted on Shepard Shutkin’s ’19 first Varsity Goal and Cooper May (Morrill) picked up his second goal of the game for a 6-0 lead.

Cody “Code Red” Colello with a save in the second period

Cody Colello ’18 came on in relief of Dan Latham and played extremely well.  In the second period, Aidan Miller ’20  notched his first Varsity tally with assists from Jacob Veilleux ’20 and Alec Morton ’19.

The Clippers will be hosting the a Holiday Tournament next week and will face off against Brookfield/Bethel/Danbury and Guilford, Connecticut.  The  Tournament schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, December 27th

2 pm:  Brookfield/Bethel/Danbury, CT vs. Gardiner

4 pm:  Guilford, CT vs. Yarmouth

Thursday, December 28th 

12 Noon:  Guilford vs. Cape Elizabeth

2 pm: Brookfield/Bethel/Danbury, CT vs. Yarmouth
