Due to a weather cancellation, Yarmouth was scheduled for back-to-back games. After facing one of the top teams in Class A, the Clippers traveled to Waterville to take on the top-ranked team in Class B.
Yarmouth’s woes continued a second night as unforced turnovers and confused positional play gave Waterville numerous scoring opportunities in the 5-0 loss. Dan Latham bested his effort against Falmouth by turning aside 40 Waterville shots in comparison to 39 saves the night before. By way of comparison, Tukka Rask makes an average of just over 25 saves per game with twenty-minute periods compared to fifteen-minute periods in high school. Latham’s focus and effort has been outstanding.
The Clippers have Christmas weekend off and will look to right the ship when they travel to USM to face Gorham on Tuesday, December 27th at 11:10 am.
