
The Varsity Boys won their final pre-season game in dramatic fashion as Dominic Morrill scored the game-winning goal with 11 seconds remaining in the game. Chris Romano and Cooper May picked up the assists.
The Clippers had trouble getting untracked and struggled with unforced turnovers throughout the game. Cony opened up the scoring when Avery Pomerleau beat Dan Latham on the short-side, but in the second period, Yarmouth tied the game on a Chris Romano tally with an assist from Bennett Travers.

In the second period, the Clippers took the lead on a Bill Jacobs power-play goal with an assist credited to Dom Morrill, but 33 seconds later Cony tied the game 2-2, and the teams ended the second period tied.

Yarmouth finally showed some life in the third period as they realized the game was on the line. In the final seven minutes, the Clippers dominated play and finally began to engage more physically. The new-found sense of urgency led to a rebound that Morrill buried to win the game.
The Clippers open their regular season this Saturday, December 10th when Brunswick visits Travis Roy Arena. Game time is 3:20 pm.
