Junior Varsity Moves on to Championship Game

The Clippers registered a big 4-1 victory over Cape Elizabeth in the Casco Bay Junior Varsity Hockey League.  Sophomore Dominic Morrill showed his offensive prowess as he registered a Hat Trick by scoring Yarmouth’s first three goals.

With 3:00 to go in the first period, Morrill posted an unassisted tally for his first goal, but Cape’s Max Woods tied the game less than 90 seconds later.

In the second period, Morrill scored another unassisted goal and added a third for the Hat Trick.  On Morrill’s third goal, Matt Sanborn and Reece Hall were credited with the assists.

Greg Kamra turned in another impressive performance as he turned away Cape’s scoring chances.  In the final period, Matt Sanborn added an unassisted goal to seal the victory.

The win puts Yarmouth in the Norris Division Championship Game against Windham/Westbrook on Saturday, February 27th at 7:50 pm.
