The Clippers avenged an earlier loss to Brunswick with a 4-1 win at Travis Roy Arena. The win keeps Yarmouth in first place in Class B South as they head into a contest against Class A Portland/Deering on Tuesday.
The YC Ultras were out in force and Walter Conrad gave them plenty to cheer about as he scored 26 second into the game on a nice deke. Cooper May was credited with the assist.
In the second period, the Clippers had a number of power play opportunities as Brunswick was penalized for a boarding major, but they could not convert. Brunswick did a good job of clogging the neutral zone and played an aggressive penalty kill that Yarmouth could not solve. At 7:18 of the second period, Brunswick tied it up, but less than three minutes later, Patrick Grant (Conrad, May) scored what would prove to be the game winner.

In the third period, Yarmouth got back in a groove and Grant (May, Ramsey) and Cooper May (Grant) scored insurance goals.
