After a strong first half of the season, the Clippers finished it off with a weak effort in all facets of the game against Brunswick. Penalties led to three Brunswick power play goals and by the time the Clippers woke up in the third period, it was too little, too late.
Bill Jacobs scored the first goal of the game off a pass from Cooper May. Nate Dealaman was credited with the secondary assist and the Clippers went into the locker room with a 1-0 lead despite being outshot 10-6 in the period.

The second period was all Brunswick as they scored two power play goals to take the lead, and added a third tally off a turnover for a 3-1 lead after two periods.
In the third, Brunswick extended their lead to 4-1 off another power play goal and Yarmouth had dug a hole it could not crawl out of.

With less than 4 minutes remaining, Yarmouth had a spark of life as Walter Conrad converted a nice pass from Sam Marjerison. In the final minutes, the Clippers pressed and had numerous scoring opportunities, but could not find the back of the net. Despite keeping play in the Brunswick zone, time simply ran out on Yarmouth.
The Clippers are on to Greely this Saturday at Family Ice. Game time is 7:50 pm.
